Vinyasa Yoga (All Levels)
Vinyasa means to link movement with breath and intention or to arrange and place in a special way. Shanti Yoga Shala’s Vinyasa Yoga classes offer fun, vigorous and energetic asana (pose) sequences taught in a flow-style, inter-linking poses through a series of movements. The Vinyasa Yoga sequences encourage strength and flexibility, while enhancing respiration, circulation and lymphatic flow helping to heat the muscles and connective tissue and detoxify the body.
Music, chanting, philosophy, mediation and Yin (passive) poses to help release stress and tension and leave you feeling calm, energized and empowered are incorporated into each class.
In these all levels classes variations will be offered to help accommodate all levels of practitioners. Some experience with Sun Salutes suggested but not required. The class is called “All Levels” because it is open and suitable to all levels of practitioner. Even so, beginning level students should know that there will not be much detailed “how to do” descriptions; for that a student is advised to attend a Basic or Beginner Vinyasa Class. The length of an Open class may differ at different centers, so please check the schedule for the center you are attending.
Because Vinyasa Yoga does not have only one Guru (teacher) each of our Vinyasa Yoga teachers brings their own background, teachers and experiences to their classes. Please visit the teachers’ page to learn about each teacher’s inspirations for teaching.

All levels of yogis are welcome. $10 drop in or $50 for 5 classes.
Vinyasa 101
Not necessarily new to yoga, but not ready for an All Levels Class? Vinyasa 101 is for you! This class will get you back to the basics! Come and learn (or re-learn) proper alignment, break down the poses and move at a pace where you can explore each move in a supportive environment.
Beginner Vinyasa Yoga
If you’re a beginner struggling with downward dog or a more advanced student perfecting your shoulder stand, give the Basics course a try. Take advantage of a more intimate environment and focus on the fundamentals. Each week of the month features a concentration: standing poses, forward bends, back bends, and finally inversions. This course is ideally suited to guide Beginner’s through the initial journey into yoga. This is a perfect way for you to start yoga in a relaxed, comfortable and nurturing environment.
This class is for absolutely anyone of any age, shape or size to experience the many benefits of yoga. No experience or flexibility required. Focus is on the correct positioning of basic yoga postures within one’s own body, while using props to increase the freedom and mobility of the body while concentrating on the breath to quiet the mind.
This class will dive deep into all asanas with a non-aggressive approach and moderate pace which allows you to dissolve into a more open, graceful body and relax into a steady mind.
