Join hosts Debbie (mother, prenatal yoga teacher and certified doula) and Shiya (new mom and pre/postnatal yoga teacher) for this FREE discussion group.
Being a new mom is a wonderful, life changing experience that brings with it many questions, concerns and challenges. These Saturday discussion groups will be an opportunity to share your experiences, ask questions and more.
Our focuses will be:
- April 26th – Baby Equipment and “stuff” – car seats (infant and or convertible), strollers, baby carriers, swings, jumpers, highchairs and more.
- May 10 – developmental stages and activities.
- June 14th – Eating, nursing, bottles, pacifiers, introducing solids and more.
Bring your partner, friends, and babies and enjoy these open, supportive discussion groups, meet other moms and share your experiences!
Bring a blanket for your baby to play on. Snacks for parents will be provided.
Every Friday Night 6:15-7:45pm Sadhana Vinyasa Yoga Classes
April 4th with Anna - Chakra balancing class based on the elements ocean, earth, wind, and fire. We’ll move through flow asana, pranayama, and meditation based on the elements, with a focus on balancing the associated chakras
No Sadhana Vinyasa April 11th
April 19th with Larry - Chakra Tuning
April 26th with Mary - Pranayama, Meditation and Chanting
Sadhana (“accomplishing”): spiritual discipline leading to siddhi (“perfection” or “accomplishment”).
These 90 minute vinyasa classes are mini-workshops, comprised of 1) Yoga Philosophy, 2) Meditation, 3) Guided Asana, 4) Freeform, 5) Deep relaxation. Teachers will have the freedom to “workshop” anything that would be interesting to our students. Specific types of asanas, yin or restorative, specific philosophy focuses, etc. These classes will be an opportunity to introduce our students to deeper yoga experiences than we touch on in a regular vinyasa class. Each class will have a different focus. All of the Shanti Yoga Shala Vinyasa teachers will rotate teaching these classes. $15 drop-in or one class card class
Fridays 6:30-7:30pm, April 4th – May 9th with Patricia
Adding yoga to your running routine can help to improve flexibility, strengthen joints, assist in injury prevention and recovery, and increase endurance. This 6 Week Yoga for Runners series will focus on postures to help with common runner complaints, including tight hips, quadriceps and hamstrings, while increasing core strength and focusing on deepening your breath. Explore how yoga can improve your running and bring balance to your body!

Postnatal / Mom and Baby Yoga

Learn to teach yoga with this the foundational 200 hour vinyasa yoga teacher training program. This course is ideal for serious students of yoga and aspiring teachers.
The Shanti Yoga Shala 200-hour in-depth vinyasa yoga teacher training is a 6 month long intensive program in which our highly qualified and experienced teachers will lead you as you learn and develop the skills, tools, knowledge and compassion to teach safe, energetic and empowering yoga classes. This training program covers yoga philosophy and scriptures, history of yoga, introduction to Sanskrit, introduction to anatomy, practice teaching sessions, study groups, mentor guidance, quizzes, midterm and final tests, and all aspects of the Shanti Yoga Shala Vinyasa practice. In order to receive the early registration price, your $500 deposit must be made in full by the early registration date.
