Support our Apprentice Ashtanga Teachers

Have you ever wondered about Ashtanga Yoga?  Now is your chance to find out what the buzz is about.  Shanti Yoga Shala invites you to support our apprentice Ashtanga teachers and learn the foundations of this dynamic style of Yoga.  We will be offering donation- based community classes taught by our apprentice teachers during the months of March, April, and May.  The classes will be in two formats.  The first is a 4 – week series that follows a curriculum, sequentially outlining the foundations of the system.  You will receive the most benefit from committing to all 4 sessions.  The second format is ongoing intro classes where you can drop in at any scheduled time and be guided through the foundational poses of ashtanga yoga.  For more info on the Ashtanga Yoga method, please click here (link to shanti yoga shala class description page).  Proceeds from these classes will be donated to Yoga Stops Traffick (link), an organization that fights human trafficking in India.

Let there be light…

On Saturday morning, November 26th opened the sidewalk to install the glass pavement above the lower level Ganesha practice room. The glass will run the length of the entire facade. It shouldn’t disturb the class schedule. We are also painting the inside of the doors

upstairs. This Tuesday or Wednesday we will be installing the glass on the inside of the studio. We are also making another alter on the North side wall of the lower level studio. The alter will be cut into the drywall and surrounded by a beautiful image of the Ganga. It will not disturb the practice area.
