Once-a-month Friday night Restorative Yoga with Julia – THIS Friday!

 Friday January 20th, 6-8pm

**Please register or RSVP to info@shantiyogashala.org by noon on Friday!

Transition out of the hustle of the week and into your weekend by indulging in the beautiful, healing river of silence that is your inner self!  This 2 hour class will begin with minimal free-flowing movement to warm the body gently, then we will transition toward a sequence of longer held, supportive postures. When the body is supported properly, space and freedom are created in the joints and spine. This method of practice results in calming the nervous system, revitalizing the adrenals, and thereby relieving stress and fatigue. As the body settles into its natural state, the mind will begin to follow suit.  Pulling from the very best of yin and restorative practices, this session will leave you feeling rejuvenated and renewed down to the bone! Appropriate for all levels.

Let there be light…

On Saturday morning, November 26th opened the sidewalk to install the glass pavement above the lower level Ganesha practice room. The glass will run the length of the entire facade. It shouldn’t disturb the class schedule. We are also painting the inside of the doors

upstairs. This Tuesday or Wednesday we will be installing the glass on the inside of the studio. We are also making another alter on the North side wall of the lower level studio. The alter will be cut into the drywall and surrounded by a beautiful image of the Ganga. It will not disturb the practice area.
